New Society for Visual Arts

The nGbK - neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst (lit. New Society for Visual Arts) is a German art association. It was founded in 1969 with a grassroots democratic structure and is, by its own account, one of the most important and largest associations of its kind in Germany. From 1992 to 2022, its exhibition rooms and office were located at Oranienstraße 25 in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin. Since August 2023, they have been located next to Alexanderplatz at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 11/13 in the Mitte district. Annette Maechtel has headed the nGbK since 2020. Provided by Wikipedia
